InterPARES : PRESERVATION OF AUTHENTIC RECORDS IN ELECTRONIC FORM

par Madame Luciana DURANTI, professeure d'archivistique à
l'Université de Colombie britannique (Vancouver) et directrice du
Projet InterPARES (International Research on Permanent Authentic
Records in Electronic Systems: http://www.interpares.org/).

Cette séance aura lieu le LUNDI 13 NOVEMBRE 2006 de 13 h. 30 à 17 h. 30, en
l'Auditoire Marcel-Jenny des Hôpitaux universitaires de Genève, 24 rue
Micheli-du-Crest, rez-de-chaussée.

Madame Duranti, autorité reconnue au niveau international dans les domaines
de l'archivistique et de l'archivage électronique, abordera les points
suivants:

This workshop will first present the objectives, methodology and
outcomes of the InterPARES research project in general. It will then
focus on some specific findings and products related to the creation,
maintenance and long-term preservation of authentic and reliable
electronic records. It will discuss:
theoretical issues, such as the identification of records in
dynamic environments and the concept of life-cycle in relation
to digital authenticity;
methodological matters, such as the processes of appraisal and
preservation; and
practical aspects, such as records creation and preservation
guidelines and a framework for policy development.
It will use examples from case studies and general studies, and will
show products such as the Chain of Preservation Model, the Metadata
Registry, and the Terminology Database.

Fundamentals & New Rules," a full-day Continuing Legal Education program at
