Wäre schön wenn man dies nicht nur als Hygienethema behandelt.
Das Bitkom hat ja kürzlich zu Compliance einen Leitfaden veröffentlicht:

Nice ECM stuff

Doculabs Rich Medina has put some interesting stuff about an ECM framework:

ECM reference architecture and glossary (Blog)

http://www.richardmedinadoculabs.com/1/post/2013/04/download-the-ecm-reference-architecture-and-glossary.html

just navigate and you will find more stuff ...

History is repeating itself

From Lotus Notes to Sharepoint and Social Media

Is Sharepoint a failed vision for collaboration?

see:
http://www.cmswire.com/cms/social-business/is-sharepoint-a-failed-vision-for-collaboration-020271.php

However we will judge the history of KM and collaboration, the cornerstone is not technology but people and culture or behaviour.
When we talk about information governance either, the point is not a lack of visions and good policies but the true commitment to business alignment and trust according to desirable behaviour when it comes to implementation in the real world.

Unsurprisingly, IT and business executives both lack the time, inclination and knowledge required to undertake yet another enterprise authority for an unmanaged asset such as data. This inattention by
information-intensive organizations to managing their data as an asset means lost revenue, higher costs, increased liabilities and damaged reputation. (Gartner)

The future of competition is about outbehaviour not outperformance.

Information Mgmt doesn't matter (AIIM study)

For RIM professionals the results of the latest AIIM survey are not surprising.
Since years ECM and RIM evangelists try to successfully sell what nobody seems to like.

However no organization can exist without mastering their information and evidence regardless of how good or how bad they do it.
And there are legal duties.

UK has recently started again a public campaign to promote the importance of information as a corp. asset.

INFORMATION MATTERS!

Beruf: Information Lifecycle Manager (VSA)

so tönt es noch nicht, aber immerhin bekommt das Records Mgmt mehr Beachtung neben dem Archivarsberuf.

Die neue Broschüre des VSA ist online:

Continuity/stability vs. permanent technology change/agility

Excellent post from James Lappin about the clashes and tensions between a stable records mgmt environment and the rapid pace of change in technology (...)

http://thinkingrecords.co.uk/2013/02/13/the-state-of-records-management-in-2013-the-challenges/

There is no choice; the dominance of technology has always determined the way how people handle their information day-to-day, and RIM was always running behind.
Is it possible to reconcile the need for stability and reliability of record keeping through time with the needs for agility?
"Stability and agility are like ying and yang- they look like the complete opposite of each other, but in reality they are dependent on each other, and each needs a bit of the other."

So, RIM will become the art of finding viable solutions to domesticate information, being compliant with retention requirements and at the same time arranging with the untamable dynamics of IT and application landscapes.
Squared circle? ... or muddling through?

Chris Walker maybe is overdooming the fall of RIM when he says in his anti-predictions:
"RIM will be sold off in pieces, like black market organs."

http://christianpwalker.wordpress.com/2013/01/02/a-list-10-anti-predictions-for-2013/

Where will the bucket stop then? Can IT be blamed for gaps in the records?

- Automatisierung
- Collaboration
- hybride Mobilität zwischen Cloud und On-premise
