VSA News:

Auf der VSA Homepage kann man seit kurzem ausgewählte Bewertungsentscheide von öffentlichen Archiven suchen und finden was sehr begrüssenwert ist. Sie sind in einem einheitlichen Format publiziert. Allerdings hätte man in einzelnen Fällen eine gesetzliche Grundlage gewünscht (wobei prinzipiell die kantonalen Archivgesetze zur Anwendung kommen) und wo nötig einen Hinweis auf Datenschutzanforderungen bzw. Absicherung.
Natürlich gelten die entsprechenden Schutzfristen.

Die Arbeitsgruppe nimmt keine Wertung der Entscheide vor. Nachfragen zu einzelnen Entscheiden sind direkt an das jeweilige Archiv zu richten.

The VOI has updated its useful catalog of legal requirements in Europe covering the following countries: Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and UK

For each country the article is written in english and the native language which is a great service; it does not only cover the retention periods with underlying legal citations but also describes the requirements and provisions about legal acceptability of eRecords on court (valid evidence) and special aspects of e-mail legislations.
