MSM Research hat im dritten Quartal 2009 eine Umfrage bei 122 Schweizer Unternehmen zum Stand der Dinge im Markt für Enterprise Content Management (ECM) durchgeführt.
Die Resultate dieser Untersuchung liegen jetzt in Form einer neuen Studie vor.

Laut der aktuellen Untersuchung “State of the ECM industry”, für die der Verband 536 Unternehmen verschiedener Größe und Branchen befragte, scheint sich der Trend zu verstärken, dass nicht mehr nur "Compliance" als der Haupt-Driver für ECM Implementierung figuriert, sondern auch Kosteneinsparungen durch verbesserte Integration von DM und RM ins Feld geführt werden.

AIIM's annual State of the ECM Industry research found that compared to recent years, cost saving has taken a clear lead over compliance as the main business driver for investments in document and records management. Email is still out of control, with 55% of organizations having little or no confidence that important emails are recorded, complete and retrievable. Management of content types like SMS/text messages, blogs and wikis are largely off the corporate radar in 75% of organizations and their lack of inclusion in the corporate archive is a major risk.

Beim elektronischem Dokumentenmanagement hinken kleinere Firmen im Vergleich zu Großunternehmen weiter hinterher. Unter Mittelständlern etabliert sich die elektronischen Archive nur langsam, nur ein Viertel der Unternehmen setzen die modernen Programme ein – und das, obwohl diese effizienter, schneller und kostensparender sind.

Die Untersuchung bezieht sich auf Deutschland, in der Schweiz dürfte jedoch die
Situation nicht viel anders sein.
Herr Kampffmeyer müsste hier auch mal eine Umfrage machen.

Yesterday (14th March) AIIM released the results from its new Industry Watch research study "Scanning and Capture Technologies 2007...Process Integration and ROI Enhancement."

The study of over 1,000 executives, sponsored by ABBYY Software, Captaris (NASDAQ GM:CAPA), EMC Captiva (NYSE:EMC), Kodak (NYSE:EK), Kofax (LSE:UK:DCM) and Visioneer, found that scanning and capture technologies are stable and in widespread use, yet, by no means "mature" industries. There still exists enormous opportunities relative to recognition, scanning automation, and process integration.

interesting point:
There is an increasing interest in AIIM's market research efforts outside the United States, and upcoming AIIM surveys will
refl ect this expanded perspective. Other regions (EMEA, AP, LatMex) within the world are becoming a stronger driving force in
deployment and implementation of capture technologies, and AIIM's research will expand to refl ect this in the months ahead.

Das Portal Benchpark.com hat zum vierten Mal in 2006 aus den Bewertungen und Berichten 10087 akkreditierter Teilnehmer seinen Marktmonitor ECM-Softwareanbieter verfasst. Er dokumentiert u. a., welche Themen, Konditionen, Fristigkeiten und Zufriedenheiten die Zusammenarbeit zwischen Auftraggebern und Anbietern während den letzten drei Monaten bestimmten.

Thematische Schwerpunkte waren mit 34,5 % Dokumentenmanagement, gefolgt von Digital Asset Management, Content Management mit 25,26 %, Archivierung, Records Management mit 14,74 % und anderes mit 5,86 %.

Marcia Frank Peri & Lisl Zach are 2005 NHPRC Electronic Records Research Fellows. Their research was on "Determining Current Practices for College and University Electronic Records Management Programs." They conducted a survey and follow-up interviews to produce a current snapshot of electronic records practice in university archives. They reported on their work at the 2006 NHPRC Electronic Records Research Fellowships Symposium http://www.ils.unc.edu/nhprcfellows/confer.htm. They also reported on their work at the FALL 2006 MARAC Meeting. They will also be reporting on their work at SAA in Chicago this fall.

Jean Deken at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center(SLAC) Archives and History Office has been working on a project to preserve the electronic records of a major international scientific project conducted with instruments at the SLAC. This was part of project jointly funded by the NHPRC and NARA's ERA Research Division. The Persistent Archives Testbed (PAT) Project http://www.sdsc.edu/PAT/. CA Studie zeigt: Viele Unternehmen ohne übergreifendes Risikomanagement - Neue Technologien zu wenig genutzt
Rechtliche und regulative Compliance sowie Erfordernis der Nachweisbarkeit müssen von der IT adressiert werden (?!)

Eigentlich sollte das Business sagen was die IT zu tun hat ...
Zuerst kommt ein logisch organisatorisches Konzept für RM & Compliance, erst dann wird die IT -Lösung dazu entwickelt .
