Podcasts from MER
During ARMA Annual conference 2012 in Chicago there were also some sessions organized by MER (Managing Electronic Records).
some can be heard by podcast:
Jason Baron (head of litigation oat NARA) made some interesting statements about auto-categorization and despite of its shortcomings we can no longer rely on human records declaration only, we need technology to support us, e.g. by adding special vocabularies or project related terms in order to differentiate and classify content automatically upfront (up to 80% would already be an advantage) - improving the search process is paramount.
