Washington, DC and Lindon, UT…Archivist of the United States Allen Weinstein and Footnote, Inc. CEO Russell Wilding today announced an agreement to digitize selected records from the vast holdings of the National Archives. The 4.5 million pages that have been digitized so far are now available at

Archivaria, the journal of the Association of Canadian Archivists (ACA), is devoted to the scholarly investigation of archives, archiving and records mgmt in Canada and internationally.

The creation of the digitized collection of Archivaria issues was undertaken by the Association of Canadian Archivists in 2005-2006, using the services of Simon Fraser University Library Systems and the Open Journal Systems (OJS) software.

The great majority of the published issues (from 1975 to 2002) are being made available to the public in an open collection. The interface for the main collection also includes tables of contents and abstracts for all published issues up to the current date.
The most recent eight issues of Archivaria are retained in the Reserved Collection, which is accessible only to individual and institutional subscribers as well as to members of the ACA.

Die Erfüllung gesetzlicher Vorgaben steht weit oben auf der Agenda vieler Unternehmen. Die Firmenlenker trauen ihren IT-Chefs diesbezüglich allerdings wenig zu. Umso wichtiger ist es daher, dass diese das Thema nicht als Projekt begreifen, sondern strategisch angehen.
