Business Classification Scheme Design (UK National archives)

Interesting paper:
u.a.
Discussing the differences between electronic and paper records affecting
specifications for the classification scheme.

Bestätigt die Unmöglichkeit einer physischen Kontrolle des Life-cycles im Nebeneinander von physischen und elektronischen Archiven.

Das Records Continuum kommt weiter zum Zuge:
"The concept of the records continuum where ‘managing records is seen as a continuous process where one element of the continuum passes seamlessly into another’ seems, therefore, highly applicable to electronic records."
Business process classification model (UN/CEFACT)

UN/CEFACT - Common Business Process Catalog, Technical Specification
Version 1.0
30th September 2005

Summary:
The Common Business Processes Catalog technical specification document provides the methodology to identify, discover, and maximize the reuse of commonly used business processes. To develop this methodology, the specification document describes the structure, syntax, and semantics for industry standard expression of metadata to describe common business processes to be recorded in the catalog. This will facilitate reuse of these business processes in a variety of e-business applications and records mgmt systems (e.g. for retention schedules)
